HArry C Winfrey, CPA & Founder Emeritus


Harry opened the company over fifty years ago in what was the Virginia Building on Ninth St. downtown Columbia MO. He was previously in public accounting with a Columbia accounting firm for five years, then became a tax accountant for the A.B Chance Co in Centralia.

A native of Columbia, Winfrey graduated from Hickman High School in 1954, and from the University of Missouri in 1956 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He passed his National Certified Public Accountant examination in November 1963 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Harry served in the Army at Ft. Sill, OK. and the 4th Howitzer Battalion, 84th Artillery at the U.S. Army Reserves Center.

 His vision of helping the people navigate the IRS and all business opportunities by establishing his own Certified Public Accountant firm became an opportunity for many employees & clients to get to know him. He developed an honest, accurate, professional, hardworking ethic that continues to this day! Everyone who has worked with Harry speaks of his straightforward explanations & professionalism. Harry’s extensive knowledge in preparing tax returns for individuals, trust, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and supervising audits for nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and businesses as well as planning & consulting services has helped many clients. Harry enjoys the outdoors, golf, as well as spending time with his wife Betty and his pup Molly.

Jane E Rasmussen, CPA

Certified Public Accountant
Tax Preparation, Auditing Services, and QuickBooks

Jane is a certified public accountant with over twenty years of accounting experience working in government and public accounting. Jane earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Management from Columbia College. Jane is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Before going into public practice, Jane spent eleven years as the accountant for a local public housing authority, where she processed payroll and expenses, prepared yearly budgets and monthly financial statements, and administered federal grants. Since going into public accounting Jane has gained extensive experience in preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts, businesses, and nonprofits, and conducting audits for nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and businesses.

 Jane and her husband Darryl live in Moberly and have two grown sons.  During her spare time she very active in her church.  She also assists her husband with operating Rasmussen Orchard growing and selling apples, strawberries, and tomatoes.

Kelly L. Petree, CPA, CCM

Certified Public Accountant
Tax Preparation, Auditing Services, and QuickBooks

Kelly is a certified public accountant with over twenty-four years of experience.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from William Woods University.  With a minor in Equestrian Science. While attending college classes she was the accounting tutor for State Fair Community College and William Woods University.  Graduated Cum Laude while working three part-time jobs and showing horses.  Kelly is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Kelly professes her forte is auditing.  She started her career in Dallas, TX working mainly on audits.  Kelly audited counties and state agencies at the Missouri State Auditor’s Office.  Kelly has spoken at the Central Missouri Chapter of Internal Institute of Auditors.  Traveled the state speaking and training court clerks in Missouri.  While at the Office of State Courts Administrator she earned the designation Certified Court Manager.  Other experience includes reviews of financial statements, audits, tax returns, tax planning, budgeting, and accounting.

Kelly resides in Columbia, MO.  Her hobbies include cross stitching, knitting, cooking, horses, ball games for her nieces, and writing speeches. Kelly has written a Children’s Christian Book called Speedy and the Big Bad Piglet. The book is currently being illustrated by an artist in Altanta, MO. Kelly attends and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
